Heritage Museum, Quiet on Set! Behind the Scenes with the Goonies
The Heritage Museum, owned and operated by the Clatsop County Historical Society, is a Neo-Classical, historic landmark for Astoria and Clatsop County. The building itself has a rich history, from housing members of the United Service Organizations (USO) during WWII to serving as a museum today with six permanent exhibits and a rotating selection of temporary and traveling displays. There’s always something new to discover at this iconic site.
The latest exhibition, Quiet on Set! Behind the Scenes with the Goonies, is an exclusive collection of never-before-seen footage and materials from The Goonies! With the 40th anniversary of the beloved film fast approaching, the Heritage Museum is proud to be one of the key locations sharing the magic and history of The Goonies with fans from around the world.
$5 for adults, $2 for kids (age 6 – 17), tickets available at the door.

ROLLER SKATING AND COSTUME CONTEST
Calling all Goonies fans of every age! Join us for a family-friendly night of fun at the Astoria Armory for a Costume Contest at the Roller Rink! Dress up as your favorite Goonies character and show off your costume for a chance to win some fun prizes, or simply come as you are to enjoy the skating, beverages, snacks, and contest excitement.
This event is for everyone—no need to be in costume or even skate if you’d rather watch the contest and cheer on your favorites! Skate rentals will be available, and anyone who purchases a skate ticket early will have priority on the rink floor. Bring the whole family and join us for a night filled with Goonies magic, snacks, and memories. Reserve your tickets soon, as this event is expected to sell out!

Costume Contest Rules
Eligibility:
The contest is open to all ages. Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian present.
Individuals and groups are welcome to participate.
Registration:
Contestants must sign up at the designated registration table upon arrival.
Registration will close 30 minutes before the contest begins.
Costume Requirements:
Costumes must be family-friendly. Avoid overly violent, graphic, or inappropriate themes.
Costumes inspired by The Goonies are encouraged, but creativity in any theme is welcome!
Store-bought, homemade, or a mix of both are allowed.
Judging Criteria:
Creativity and originality.
Effort in costume design and execution.
Representation of the character or theme.
Presentation or performance (optional but encouraged).
Judging Process:
A panel of judges will evaluate each entry based on the criteria above.
Each contestant will have a brief moment on stage or the designated presentation area to showcase their costume.
Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded in several categories (e.g., Best Overall, Best Group, Most Creative, Best Youth Costume).
Prize details will be announced at the event.
General Rules:
Costumes must allow for safe movement and comply with venue safety rules.
No weapons, real or fake, are allowed. Props should be lightweight and non-hazardous.
Offensive or inappropriate costumes may result in disqualification at the discretion of the judges or event organizers.
Participation Agreement:
By entering, participants agree to allow their photos to be taken and used for event promotions.
All decisions by the judges are final.
